Ahmed and Lana, Red Eye and Jennet Hugh, Sado and Saba, Šahbej, Beba, Nemanja, Meli, Marks, Matan, Biber (Pepper), Jimm and Nicollo... a gallery of characters whose war and after-war lives the film documents. As residents of a neighbourhood in Sarajevo, they all endure the war and its traumatic aftermath in different ways. This is a story about their lives, their personal tragedies, passions and dramas, but also a story about their solidarity and mutual belief in freedom and the possibility of a happier life. The film is in a way a dedication to all the surviving citizens of a once-besieged city, to those who believe in life and in “a miracle in Sarajevo”.
